GridSchool Residency · three spots

I work with you as an engineer, building the projects that make you stand out, until you sign an offer.

The course explains how to build proof a hiring team stops for. In the Residency we build it together, on calls, the way two engineers on one team would. Then I stay on your search until you sign.

How it runs

Two phases. Build first, then search with me beside you.

Weeks 1 to 8

Twice a week, we build.

Two calls a week. We pick the project your target role needs, scope it to something you can finish, and build it together: architecture, the hard parts, tests, the write-up. You drive; I'm the senior engineer beside you.

Week 9 until you sign

Weekly, we search.

A weekly 1:1 on your search: campaigns to named teams, the notes and Looms that go with them, interview prep from your own work, and what to do when an interview goes sideways. Up to 12 months from your start.

The whole time

Everything in Complete.

The full course and every film, your map, the roles we line up for you, and every note approved before it goes out.

What you leave with

Proof a stranger can open, and the habits to keep making it.

  • One or two projects built to the bar of the job you want, with a public case study for each
  • A profile, resume and portfolio that say only what that work proves
  • Campaigns sent to named teams, with every send and reply tracked on your map
  • Interview stories drawn from what you built, rehearsed until they're yours
  • My reference, from someone who watched you build

Who you'd be working with

Aden Jessee

I'm a working engineer. I build applied AI and agentic graph systems now, and I built software for years before LLMs. GridSchool is the system I built to plan and run a job search the way I'd run an engineering project: from evidence, step by step, reviewed.

Price

$12,000, or three monthly payments of $4,000.

Three spots at a time, because two calls a week each is what I can do well. One fixed price: nothing after you're hired, nothing hourly. Prices are in US dollars and include any sales tax or VAT. Checkout shows them in your own currency.

The Residency is closed to new students. The founding cohort replaces it and starts January 4.

Start with the free check

Want to talk first? Start with the free check; a call comes after a short fit step. Parents: read this first.

The week-2 exit: if after two weeks it's the wrong room, unused tuition comes back. That's the only guarantee. A company's yes is still theirs: I don't promise a job, and nobody honest can.

Straight answers

How is this different from Complete?

Complete gives you the course, the system and the first week's work prepared, and you run it. In the Residency I'm on calls with you twice a week for eight weeks, building your projects with you, then weekly on your search until you sign an offer.

What if I don't have a job after 12 months?

The Residency runs up to 12 months from your start. If you're still searching then, we look at what happened together and decide what's worth doing next. You keep your map and everything we built.

Can a parent pay?

Yes, as a gift. The Residency is yours, though: you accept it from your own email, you're the one on the calls, and you choose whether they get a weekly progress note (never what we talk about).

What do I need to start?

You can already write software, you have about ten hours a week, and you want a specific kind of role. If you're not sure, take the free check first; it shows where you stand.
